What are Biological Data
Biological data are data or information gotten from living organisms and their derivatives. it includes genomics data, proteomics, metagenomics, transcriptomic, metabolomics and so.
Different types of Biological Data.
Genomics data: This is a whole human genome content, which specifically makes us who we are.
Proteomics data: Data derived from the study of protein which is a vital part of living organisms.
Metagenomics Data: Genetic data derived from environmental samples, its also called environmental genomics, these include soil samples, insects e.t.c.
Transcriptomics Data: In-depth data derived from genomics data.
These Data are also called Omic Data.
What questions do these data answer?
Have you ever wondered why these data are important?
Why a particular plant grows in an area and not in another
Is there a kindness gene in human
why a particular drug doesn't work for you or why you aren't responding to a treatment
Whether a disease is going to break out or not (it can be predicted) These data provide an answer to these questions and so much more.
